“Jesus and the Earth,” a conversation with Elizabeth Johnson (Fordham University)

Faith in Jesus Christ is filled with good news for human beings. Is this good news meant for other creatures and even the whole universe as well? By focusing on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and the ecological meaning of deep incarnation, this presentation hopes to lay out a pathway that will lead participants to answer “yes,” with strong implication for care of the Earth.

Brief Biography -

Elizabeth A. Johnson, CSJ, is distinguished professor of theology emerita at Fordham University in New York City. A former president of the Catholic Theological Society of America, she loves to teach, mentor, research and write. Her most recent book is Come, Have Breakfast : Meditations on God and the Earth (2004), from which this presentation is taken..
